This study explores whether mainstream or targeted social protection programs have met the needs of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC, aka LGBTIQ+ people). It details the specific social protection needs of SOGIESC people and provides three case studies from Bangladesh, Fiji, and Indonesia which give insights into the challenges for social protection programs.
