This guide aims to assist humanitarian staff and collaborators in ensuring the inclusivity of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms for people with disabilities. It includes key considerations for achieving disability inclusion in AAP, including disability sensitisation for staff and communities to reduce attitudinal barriers and stigma, consulting people with disabilities about their communication preferences, and ensuring they have safe and appropriate means to provide feedback and complaints about their experiences and perspectives. It also provides tips for how to embed disability-inclusive AAP in the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation phases.
