The ATA Toolkit was developed by the World Health Organisation in response to the lack of comprehensive data on assistive technology (AT), which forms one of the main barriers preventing access to AT, by supporting countries in systematically collecting data related to AT. The ATA toolkit can help countries collect data to inform decisions regarding policy and program design, raise awareness of the need and impact of AT, and garner political support and resources for AT. The potential target audiences of the ATA toolkit include:

  • Policymakers
  • Researchers and academia
  • Associations and representatives of users of AT and their families
  • AT service managers and providers
  • Subject matter experts in AT
  • Development partners
