Australia recognises the impact of environmental degradation and climate change across the Indo-Pacific region, and is committed to supporting sustainable environmental management practices. Environmental management is intrinsically linked to disability inclusion, as environmental challenges disproportionately affect people with disabilities, who often face greater barriers in accessing, using and managing natural resources and adapting to changing environments as a result of climate change.
