Energy
Affordable and sustainable energy is vital for all communities, particularly those in the Asia and Pacific regions who are significantly impacted by climate change. Access to energy is also critical for people with disabilities who have greater energy demands, often required to charge their assistive devices, yet are more likely to use cheaper, less sustainable fuels such as biomass and coal, which are damaging to an individual's health, and the environment. It is important that people with disabilities are included in clean energy solutions.
These resources provide evidence and guidance to consider the needs of people with disabilities in energy policies and programs.
