This is a compendium of the current state of employment of persons with disabilities in the Asia and Pacific region. It has collated the latest data, policy developments, strategies and practices undertaken by governments, service providers and private companies in member States and associate members of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Based on analysis of the latest situations and progress made, the publication recommends a range of actions for the region’s governments to take, in partnership with organizations of persons with disabilities and other stakeholders, to further promote disability-inclusive employment.
