This guide discusses the importance of, and provides entry points for including people with disabilities in development efforts. It explains how disability-inclusive development benefits everyone and aligns with two important frameworks: the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The guide demonstrates how UNDP supports disability inclusion both as a goal in itself, and as a way to achieve broader sustainable development. The guide also addresses key topics like data collection, program design, innovation, and the importance of involving people with disabilities in decision-making. It emphasises the need for partnerships with OPDs to advance disability inclusion effectively.
