This resource was developed by CBM Global to emphasises the importance of disability inclusion in climate justice, and outlines CBM Global's approach to advocating for inclusive climate action in partnerships with OPDs and communities most affected by the climate crisis.

The roadmap identifies five key priorities:

  1. Addressing policy gaps: Advocating for disability-inclusive climate policies at local, national, and international levels.
  2. Addressing the data gap: Gathering and analysing data on the impact of climate change on people with disabilities to inform advocacy efforts.
  3. Promoting locally-based solutions: Supporting community-led initiatives that address the specific needs of people with disabilities in adapting to and mitigating climate change.
  4. Achieving disability inclusion through a just transition: Ensuring that the transition to environmentally sustainable economies and societies is inclusive of and accessible to people with disabilities.
  5. Ensuring climate financing is disability-inclusive: Advocating for climate financing mechanisms that prioritise the needs of people with disabilities and support their participation in climate action.
